[Remote] Senior Counsel, iGaming & Sportsbook

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Magic Eden is a rapidly growing company that redefined the NFT market and is now venturing into iGaming. They are seeking a Legal & Regulatory Strategist to help navigate the complexities of global wagering and to design regulatory frameworks for Web3 wagering.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Playbook: You won't just follow rules; you'll help design the regulatory frameworks for a new paradigm in Web3 wagering
• Partner with Product: Sit in the room with engineers and product leads to build features that are "compliant by design."
• Navigating the Global Map: Help us solve the puzzle of global expansion, identifying where to move, how to launch, and how to win
• Risk Assessments: Conduct candid risk assessments that enable the business to move boldly forward. You are here to find the "how," not just the "why not."
• Build the Network: Influence our strategy by building a global web of mission-aligned outside counsel

Skills

• You have deep roots in the iGaming, Casino, or Sportsbook world
• You have a law degree
• You operate on strong legal foundations
• You are drawn to cross-functional work, embedded with product, engineering and business teams to solve problems in real time
• You are comfortable building processes from scratch and making decisions with 70% of the information
• You have a high motor, you're commercially savvy, and you thrive in environments where speed is a competitive advantage
